Call 9217742656WhatsAppIf you are looking for a gold selling point near me in Indirapuram, Vaishali, Vasundhara or Kaushambi, expect the scale to read less than the weight you had in mind. Stones, meena, clasps, solder and dirt are not gold, so they come off before the gold is weighed. A 10 gram set can honestly read 8.4, and you can watch every step.
We are Cash for Gold - Sona Do Paise Lo, in Noida Extension (Greater Noida West), and our pickups cover Delhi NCR. This post is for sellers across the Hindon, in Ahinsa Khand, Niti Khand, Vaibhav Khand and the rest of the belt.
Why does my gold weigh less on the buyer's scale?
The weight you know usually comes from a jeweller's bill, a family memory or a kitchen scale. That number is the whole piece. It includes everything attached to it.
A buyer pays for gold, so the buyer weighs gold. What comes off first:
- Stones and beads. Kundan, polki and glass stones are set in lac or wax, which weighs more than people expect.
- Meena (enamel). The coloured work on bangles and necklace sets is not gold.
- Clasps and screw backs. Many are steel or brass. Some are gold and stay on.
- Solder. Old repairs leave a lump of joining metal of lower purity.
- Dirt. Years of oil and powder collect in chains and in carved work.
We do not buy the stones themselves. We buy the gold. If you want the longer version of this list, read Stones, meena and clasps: the parts that are not gold.
Why would a 10 gram set read 8.4?
Take the heavy sets common in Indirapuram homes: a bridal necklace with matching earrings, or a kundan set from a wedding. Nearly all the weight difference comes from the parts above.
Say a set was 10 grams on the day it was made. Two earrings carry screw backs. The necklace has meena panels and a few stones. The scale, after those are removed, may show 8.4 grams of gold. The 1.6 grams that came off was never gold.
This is not a trick of the scale. You can check it yourself:
- Ask to see the scale before anything is placed on it. It should read zero.
- Watch the piece weighed whole first, if you want the starting number.
- Watch the stones and clasps being separated, and the gold weighed again.
- Ask for the two numbers to be said aloud, or written down.
That is the moment most arguments start. If you expect it, it stops being an argument.
What should I watch for at a gold selling point near me?
Any buyer in this belt, whether a showroom, a Muthoot counter or a smaller shop, should let you see the scale. Check these things:
- The scale is digital, shows to two decimals and sits where you can see it.
- Your piece never goes out of your sight.
- The weight is told to you before the purity is told to you.
- The karatmeter reading is taken in front of you. See how the karatmeter reading is taken.
If a buyer says "bas itna hi nikla" without showing you the number, ask to see it. A fair buyer will not mind. If they do mind, you have learned something before handing anything over.
One more difference: the area has jeweller showrooms that take old gold as exchange. They may deduct for stones and wastage in ways that are harder to see. For the comparison, read Cash for gold, or exchange it at a jeweller.
Can I remove the stones myself before I come?
You can, but you do not need to, and we would rather you did not force it. Pulling a stone from a kundan setting can bend or crack the gold, and the damage is yours to carry.
Bring the piece as it is. At the counter, the stones come off in front of you. If a clasp is gold, it stays in the weight. If it is steel, it does not.
Do not clean a piece hard with acid or a wire brush either. A gentle wipe is enough. Dirt that is left comes off at the counter and the weight you see is the weight that counts.
Should I come to the counter or ask for a pickup?
From Indirapuram, Vaishali, Vasundhara or Kaushambi, the route runs along the NH-24 and Delhi-Meerut Expressway side towards Crossings Republik, then into Greater Noida West. It is about 20 to 30 minutes outside peak hours, map estimate.
Come to the counter if:
- you want to compare a first quote with a second one on the same day;
- you have one or two pieces and the trip fits your day;
- you want to see the whole process on our scale.
Ask for a pickup if:
- the set is heavy and you would rather not carry it across the city;
- an elder in Niti Khand or Gyan Khand cannot travel;
- you do not want to move bridal gold on the road.
Home pickup covers the whole belt, usually the same half-day. The weighing is done the same way at your door: scale at zero, stones separated in front of you, numbers said aloud. For the carrying side, see Carrying gold safely when you go to sell it. More on the area is on the Indirapuram page.
What if the weight is lower than my bill says?
Bills often show gross weight, with stones and meena included. Some show a separate net weight. If your bill has two numbers, the net one is closer to what the scale will show.
If the gap is bigger than the stones explain, ask for the pieces to be weighed one at a time. Our post on why the weight on the buyer's scale is less than you expected goes through the common reasons. The rupee figure for your gold is worked out only after the weight and the karatmeter reading are both in front of you.
Nothing has to happen the same day. You can take the weights home, think, and come back. If you are not sure, call or WhatsApp 9217742656 with a photo of the piece and any bill, and we will tell you what usually comes off a piece like that. It is a guess until the scale is in front of you.

Questions people ask
Why is my gold weight less at the shop than on my bill? The bill usually shows the whole piece. The shop weighs only the gold, after stones, meena, clasps and solder are removed.
How can I check the weight is fair? Ask to see the scale at zero, watch the stones come off, and ask for both weights to be said aloud. You can call or WhatsApp 9217742656 to ask before you travel.
Is a gold selling point near me in Indirapuram the same as a jeweller? No. A jeweller often takes old gold as exchange against new jewellery. A buyer pays cash for the gold itself, weighed after the non-gold parts come off.
