Nothing is bought or sold on this website

There is no checkout, no account and no way to complete a sale online. This site exists to explain how we value gold and how to reach us. Every transaction happens in person at the counter, and nothing on this site is an offer capable of being accepted.

What the published rate means

Gold rates shown on this site are indicative and move during the day. They are a guide to what you might expect, not a quotation and not a promise of a price. The amount you are offered depends on the purity measured on the karatmeter and the weight measured on the scale, in front of you, at the time you visit.

Any example calculation shown here is an illustration, not an estimate of what your own items are worth.

At the counter

• Testing and weighing are free, and you are under no obligation to sell once you have the figures.
• One original government photo ID is required from the person selling. Every purchase is recorded against that ID.
• Every price on this site is for gold. Silver and diamond jewellery are valued separately and only on request; stones set in gold jewellery are not paid for as gold.
• We may decline a purchase, including where ownership cannot reasonably be established.

Ownership and stolen property

We buy only from the lawful owner of the gold, or a person the owner has authorised, and only against an original government photo ID. By offering gold for sale you confirm that it is yours to sell.

Selling stolen gold, or gold you know or have reason to believe is stolen, is a criminal offence under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (theft under section 303, and dishonestly receiving or dealing in stolen property under section 317, which replaced the corresponding sections of the Indian Penal Code). We keep a record of every purchase with the seller's ID, the item and the amount paid, and we hand that record to the police on lawful request. We refuse any purchase where ownership is doubtful, and we report suspicious offers.

Gold that is pledged, mortgaged or under a loan is not the seller's to sell until it has been released. We do not buy pledged gold and we do not lend against gold.
