What you will actually be paid
The rate you see in the news is for pure 24k gold traded in bulk. Almost nobody owns pure gold jewellery. 22k is 91.6% gold, 18k is 75%. Your payout is calculated on the gold that is actually in the piece, after testing.
Making charges are the other gap. When you bought the jewellery you paid the jeweller for the work of making it. That labour cannot be sold back, by us or by anyone else.
So the honest version is: weight, times measured purity, times our buying rate for the day. We write those three numbers down for you. You are free to take them to another shop and compare before you sell.

- Your gold. Any condition. Broken, bent, single earrings, old-fashioned designs. None of that reduces what it weighs.
- One government photo ID, original. Aadhaar, PAN or a driving licence. We keep a record of every purchase, which is why we ask for it.
- The bill, only if you have it. It is not needed. Purity is measured, not taken from paperwork.

How do I know the weight and purity are honest?
You stand at the counter and watch both. The karatmeter display faces you, so you read the purity at the same moment we do. The scale faces you too. If a number does not look right to you, ask us to test the piece again.
Will I get the rate I saw in the news?
No, and no buyer will pay it. The published rate is for pure 24k gold traded in bulk. Your jewellery is usually 22k or 18k, so the payout is calculated on the gold actually in the piece. Making charges are not recoverable either. We show you the full calculation before you agree to anything.
How quickly do I get paid, and in what form?
The same day, once you agree the number. You can take cash or a bank transfer, whichever you prefer.
Does the testing damage my jewellery?
The karatmeter reading is non-destructive. Nothing is cut, filed or melted to take it. If a piece needs anything more than that, we tell you first and you decide.
What do I need to bring?
The gold, and one government photo ID in original such as Aadhaar, PAN or a driving licence. We keep a record of every purchase, which is why the ID is needed. You do not need the original bill or the box.
Do you buy broken pieces or a single earring?
Yes. Broken chains, bent bangles, one earring where the other is lost. It is all valued on weight and purity, not on whether it is wearable.
Do you buy silver or diamonds?
Gold is what we do, and it is what every number on this site is about. We also take silver and diamond jewellery. Ask when you call and we will tell you how those are valued.
