If you want to sell gold near me from the Noida Expressway sectors, ask any buyer for three numbers: purity on the karatmeter screen, weight after stones and clasps, and the rate for that purity. A buyer who gives you only a total is hiding at least one of them. We are Cash for Gold - Sona Do Paise Lo, in Noida Extension (Greater Noida West), and our pickups cover Delhi NCR.

What do I ask for when I want to sell gold near me on the Expressway?

Three things, in this order. Write them down before anyone names a total.

  • Purity. The karat reading of your piece, shown on the karatmeter screen.
  • Weight. Grams of gold after stones, enamel and clasps are taken out.
  • Rate. The rate per gram for that purity, not a rate for "gold" in general.

The figure for your piece comes from these three together. We do not print a rupee figure in advance, because no honest figure exists until the piece is tested and weighed. If a buyer on the phone gives you one for gold they have not seen, treat it as a guess.

Our post on the three numbers that decide what you are paid explains how they combine. This post is about asking for them.

How do I check the purity on the karatmeter screen?

Ask to see the screen. The test should happen at the table, in front of you, on a clean part of the piece. You should see the reading, not just hear it.

  • Ask which karat the screen shows. A 22 karat piece reads near 916.
  • Compare it with the stamp. A stamp is a claim. The reading is a test.
  • If the two differ, ask the buyer to test a second spot and show you again.

Many pieces in Expressway homes were bought years ago, often with a different jeweller from a different city. Some carry a stamp, some have worn smooth. Neither stops a sale. For what to do when the reading is lower than the stamp, read what happens if your gold tests lower than the stamp says. For how the reading is taken, see how a karatmeter reading is taken, step by step.

How is the weight taken after stones and clasps?

Weight is where totals hide the most. A chain with a heavy clasp, or a necklace set with stones and enamel, weighs more on the scale than the gold inside it. We pay for gold, and we do not buy stones.

Ask for two weights: the full piece, and the gold after the non-gold parts are removed or allowed for. Then ask the buyer to say the second one aloud, in grams, while the scale shows it.

  • The scale should be digital, with the display facing you.
  • Nothing should be added to the pan while you look away.
  • If a clasp or stone is being deducted, ask how many grams it is taken as.

Wedding sets and long necklaces are common in these sectors, so expect a difference between the first weight and the second. That is normal. A difference nobody explains is not. More on this in stones, meena and clasps: the parts that are not gold and why the weight is less than you expected.

What rate should a buyer quote me?

The rate for your purity, on that day, said clearly. Ask the buyer to name the karat they are applying it to. A rate quoted without a karat can be a rate for a purity your piece does not have.

You can check the published rate yourself on today's gold rate before you ask. Expect the buyer's rate to differ from the one in the news, and ask why. The reasons are in why the published rate is not your payout. Nothing has to be decided while you compare. Take your time.

What is a buyer hiding if they give only a total?

A total joins purity, weight and rate into one figure, and you cannot see which one was bent. Three common cases:

  • The purity was read one step lower than it should have been.
  • The weight included a deduction you were never told about.
  • The rate used was older or lower than the one they quoted you.

You cannot tell which, so ask for all three separately. A buyer who is comfortable with a fair deal will show all three. If one answer is "I will tell you after", go and get another quote. Our post on comparing three quotes in one afternoon shows how.

Should I go to the counter or ask for a pickup from the Expressway?

There is no gold buyer along the Expressway itself. For most people in sectors 93, 94, 100, 104, 108, 110, 128, 132, 137, 142, 143, 150 and 168, a pickup is the normal answer.

The counter is about 16 km from Sector 137, which is about 35 to 50 minutes by map estimate. From Sector 150 it is further. The route leaves the Expressway at Sector 94 or 37, crosses on the Sector 71 side, and goes through Kisan Chowk and Gaur Chowk to Sector 16B. For a single ring, that is a long trip. For a bag of purana sona from a whole family, it may be worth it. The Hinglish page covers the same questions in Hindi.

A pickup works like this: send a photo and rough weight on WhatsApp, get a range and a time the same day, and the test happens at your table with the same three numbers. If you do not like them, you say no and nothing is lost. Whichever way you choose, the Noida Expressway page has the details, and pickup or the counter, and how to decide goes through it for these sectors. People near Jaypee Greens, the Sector 137 metro, Felix Hospital or the Amity side use the same process.

If you want a straight answer before choosing, call or WhatsApp 9217742656 with a photo and the stamp, and ask for the three numbers you would see at the table. We cover your area from Noida Extension as well.

Questions people ask

Can I sell gold near me without a bill? Yes. The bill does not set the purity or the weight. The test and the scale do. You will need photo ID, and there is more on this in selling gold when you do not have the original bill.

How do I know the karatmeter reading is honest? Watch it being taken on your own piece, at the table, and ask to see the screen. If you doubt it, ask for a second spot to be tested.

Who do I call to sell gold from the Noida Expressway? Call or WhatsApp 9217742656 with a photo and rough weight. You get a range and a same-day time, and the final figure comes only after the test.
