Selling gold in Greater Noida West? Ask us about your piece before you decide.
Call 9217742656WhatsAppIf you want cash for gold in Indirapuram, Vaishali, Vasundhara or Kaushambi, ask every buyer for three numbers. They are the purity on the karatmeter screen, the weight after stones and clasps, and the rate for that purity. A buyer who gives you only one total is keeping those three numbers from you.
We are Cash for Gold - Sona Do Paise Lo, a gold-buying shop in Noida Extension (Greater Noida West), and our pickups cover Delhi NCR. We are across the Hindon from you. This post is about what to ask at any counter, ours included.
What are the three numbers I should ask for?
- Purity, read on a karatmeter screen. This is the real karat of the gold, not the number stamped on it.
- Net weight, in grams. This is the weight of the gold alone, after stones, meena and clasps are accounted for.
- The rate for that purity, for that day. It is not a general "gold rate" quoted in the abstract.
Together these three numbers produce your figure. If you have all three, you can check the sum yourself. If you have only the total, you cannot.
We do not print rupee figures here. The figure for your piece is worked out at the counter after the test, with you watching.
Why does a buyer who gives only a total worry me?
A total hides which of the three inputs moved. Say one buyer offers less than another. The gap could come from a lower purity reading, a lower weight, or a lower rate. Without the three numbers, you cannot tell which.
People in Indirapuram often compare a few offers before deciding. That is sensible. A comparison only works if each buyer shows the same three numbers. Otherwise you are comparing totals that were built differently.
If a buyer says "the rate is included" or "I will tell you after", ask again, politely. A buyer with nothing to hide can show you each number as it is read.

How do I check the purity on the karatmeter?
Ask to see the screen while the piece is tested. The reading should be taken in front of you, on a clean spot of the piece. Do not accept a reading taken in a back room.
What to look for:
- The reading should appear on the screen, not only be spoken to you.
- A piece stamped 22 karat or 916 may read lower. Older purana sona and pieces that have been repaired often do.
- Ask for the reading on each piece if you bring several. Sets from different jewellers can differ.
A lower reading than the stamp is not an insult, and it is not unusual. We cover it in what happens if your gold tests lower than the stamp says. The full test is in how a karatmeter reading is taken.
Does the weight include the stones and clasps?
It should not. Many pieces from this belt carry parts that are not gold: stone settings, meena work, lac-filled bangles, and steel or brass clasps and springs. Those parts add weight to the scale but no gold to the piece.
What to ask:
- Weigh it in front of me. The scale display should face you.
- Tell me what you took off. Ask how much the stones, enamel or clasp weighed, and whether it was removed or estimated.
- Write the net weight down. Ask for it in grams, not in tola or ratti, so you can compare it with other buyers.
We buy gold only. We do not buy stones, so their weight comes off. Our guide to stones, meena and clasps explains how that works, and why the weight reads less than you expected covers the usual surprise.
If your family used old measures, tola, ratti and grams will help you convert before you go.
What should I know about the rate before I take cash for gold?
The rate must be for your purity. A rate quoted for 24 karat is not the rate for a 22 karat piece, and an 18 karat piece has a different rate again. Ask: "What is the rate for this purity?"
Check the published rate yourself first. Our gold rate today page is one place. How to check the gold rate properly before you sell explains the rest.
The published rate is not the same as what a buyer pays. We explain the gap in why the published rate is not your payout. A buyer should be able to tell you what he is working from and why.
Rates move. Nothing has to happen today. If you want to wait and look again tomorrow, take your time.
Where do people in Indirapuram usually sell, and how do they compare?
The area has a Muthoot and several jeweller showrooms. Most of the jewellers take old gold as exchange against new jewellery. Exchange can suit you if you plan to buy something anyway. If you only want cash, ask whether the showroom pays in cash or only as credit. Our post on cash for gold or exchange at a jeweller sets out the trade-off.
Buyers from Ahinsa Khand, Niti Khand, Nyay Khand, Gyan Khand and Vaibhav Khand often bring wedding chains, bangles and single earrings. Sellers near Shipra Suncity, Jaipuria Mall and Kanawani bring similar pieces. Those pieces are usually 22 karat with some wear, and often with clasps, stone settings or meena attached. That is why the weight question matters most here.
Whoever you choose, ask the three numbers before you decide. Our five questions to ask any buyer gives a longer list.
Should I go to the counter or ask for a pickup from Indirapuram?
The route to our counter is the NH-24 / Delhi-Meerut Expressway side towards Crossings Republik, then into Greater Noida West. It takes about 20 to 30 minutes outside peak hours, which is a map estimate.
The counter suits you when:
- you have a few pieces and want to see the scale and the screen yourself
- you want to compare us with another buyer on the same day
- you can carry the gold safely (see carrying gold safely)
A pickup is the right call when:
- the gold is a full set or a large amount, and you would rather not travel with it
- an elderly family member is the seller and the trip is hard
- you live in Vaishali, Vasundhara or Kaushambi and cannot leave the house for half a day
Home pickup covers the whole belt, and it is usually the same half-day. At your door, the same three numbers apply. Ask for them there just as you would at the counter. Is home pickup safe? answers the usual worry.

Can I ask the three numbers before I come?
Yes. Send a message with the karat stamp and the approximate grams. A buyer cannot give you a final figure without testing. A buyer can tell you how the test is done and which rate applies. If you want to ask first, call or WhatsApp 9217742656 and ask how the reading and the weighing are handled. Our post on what to ask on WhatsApp helps you frame it.
