You can sell old jewellery in Noida Extension without a bill and with a worn or missing stamp. Gold buyers need one original photo ID of the owner, and the karatmeter shows the purity that paper cannot. We are Cash for Gold - Sona Do Paise Lo, at Shop 25, French Arcade, Sector 16B, Greater Noida West, and pickups cover Delhi NCR.

Can I sell gold without a bill in Noida Extension?

Yes. Most households in Gaur City 1 and 2, Sector 1, Sector 4, Sector 16 and Amrapali Dream Valley hold gold that came as a gift, from a wedding, or from a village jeweller years ago. Very little of it has a bill. Many of these pieces carry a stamp that has worn smooth.

A bill only records what someone paid at one shop on one day. It does not tell a buyer what the gold is today. The weight and the purity do that, and both are measured at the counter.

If you want the longer version, read Selling gold when you do not have the original bill. For Hindi readers there is also Gold bechna hai par bill nahi hai: kya karein, and the gold bechna hai page covers the same ground.

What do gold buyers actually need from me?

One thing: one original photo ID of the owner. Aadhaar, passport, driving licence or voter ID all serve. A photocopy or a photo on a phone is not enough.

You do not need:

  • the original bill
  • a hallmark or a clear stamp
  • the box or the jeweller's pouch
  • a lot of paperwork

The ID is there so the sale is recorded against a real person. That protects you as much as the shop. If you wonder why every honest shop asks, read Why a gold buyer asks for your photo ID. If you have left the ID at home, see What happens if you do not have your ID with you.

What if the stamp is worn or missing?

Then the stamp does not decide anything, and it did not decide much before either. A stamp is a mark someone pressed in. It is not a test. Our post on what a karat stamp does not tell you explains why, and Selling gold that has no hallmark or stamp covers the unmarked pieces.

What settles it is the karatmeter. We test your gold on a karatmeter while you watch, and the screen faces you. You see the reading as it appears. The scale also faces you, so you see the weight in grams.

Many sellers here have been to the Delhi-chain branches along the Gaur City road. The difference they notice with us is that they can see the screen and the scale themselves. Nobody has to take our word for either number.

A worn piece may read lower than the family always believed. That happens, and it is better to learn it at the counter than to guess. See What happens if your gold tests lower than the stamp says. The full step-by-step is in How a karatmeter reading is taken.

Can I sell inherited gold?

Yes, if the person selling is the owner and has their own photo ID. A mother's bangles or a grandfather's chain often have no paper at all. That is normal, and it is not a reason to hold back.

A few things help in a family:

  • Decide in the family who the gold belongs to before you come.
  • Bring the ID of that person, not of someone else.
  • Bring only the pieces you have decided to sell. Nothing has to be sold in one visit.

Selling a mother's or grandmother's jewellery is rarely an easy decision. Take your time. Nothing has to happen today. Our post Selling jewellery you inherited goes through how it is handled.

What if my gold is pledged or on a gold loan?

Then it cannot be sold yet. A piece held by a lender has to be released first. Once it is back in your hands, with your ID, it is the same as any other piece.

Many families in Noida Extension have gold sitting with a lender and are not sure whether to release it and sell, or keep paying. That is a real decision, and it is worth thinking through before you pay anything to release it. Read Sell the gold or take a gold loan: how to decide. Compare the cost of keeping the loan open with what the gold is worth to you.

Should I come to the counter or ask for a pickup?

Most people from Gaur City 1 and 2, Gaur Chowk (Char Murti), Ek Murti Chowk, Sector 16, 16B, 16C, Tech Zone 4, Bisrakh Road, Kisan Chowk, Patwari, Vaidpura and Crossings Republik walk in or ride over in about ten to fifteen minutes. That is a map estimate, not a promise. Crossings Republik is just across the road. We are open 9 am to 10 pm, every day, so you can pick an hour that suits you.

A pickup is the right call when you would rather not carry gold on the road. That may be an elderly parent, a heavy set, or a day when you cannot leave the house. If you are unsure, call or WhatsApp 9217742656 and ask. You can send a photo of the pieces and ask what to expect before you go anywhere.

For the trip itself, see Carrying gold safely when you go to sell it. To compare the two options, see Cash for gold, Noida Extension: pickup or the counter, and how to decide. Directions and a map are on the visit us page.

How do I choose between gold buyers here?

Ask each one the same few things:

  1. Will the karatmeter reading be shown to me on a screen?
  2. Will I see the weight on the scale?
  3. Will you tell me the rate used and how the figure was worked out?
  4. Can I say no after the test and walk out with my gold?

A buyer who answers all four plainly is worth a visit. One who avoids them is not. More questions are in Five questions to ask any buyer before you hand over your gold. When you compare gold buyers, compare the same piece on the same day. The figure for a piece is worked out at the counter once it is tested. It depends on three inputs: purity, weight and the rate. See Cash for gold: the three numbers that decide what you are paid.

The Noida Extension page and the locality page tell you what to bring and how a visit runs.

What do I bring on the day?

  • One original photo ID of the owner
  • The gold itself, however worn or unmarked
  • Any bill, if you happen to have one. It is useful, but not required.

We do not buy stones. If a piece has stones or enamel, they are not counted in the gold weight. See Stones, meena and clasps: the parts that are not gold. For the full list, read What to bring when you come to sell gold.
