A gold buyer in Sector 18, Noida can buy old jewellery that has no bill and a worn or missing stamp. The buyer needs one original photo ID of the owner. The karatmeter test settles the purity that the missing paper cannot.

We are Cash for Gold - Sona Do Paise Lo, in Noida Extension (Greater Noida West), and our pickups cover Delhi NCR. This post is for households in Sector 18 and the central sectors around it. Most of you have a drawer of purana sona with no paperwork at all. That is normal, and it is not a reason to keep the gold in the drawer.

Can I sell gold without a bill in Sector 18?

Yes. Think about how this gold came to you. A wedding set from the 1990s, a chain from a grandparent, bangles bought from a local sunar. Nobody kept the bill, and nobody was told to. Sellers in Sectors 15, 16, 25, 26, 27, 29, 30 and 37 bring exactly this.

A bill says where and when the piece was bought. It does not say what the piece is made of today. Only a test can say that. So the missing bill changes nothing about how the gold is tested, weighed or priced. For the longer version, read selling gold when you do not have the original bill.

What does a gold buyer actually need from me?

Just one thing: one original photo ID of the owner. Aadhaar, PAN card, passport, driving licence or voter ID are the usual ones. A photocopy or a photo on a phone is not enough.

  • The ID must belong to the person who owns the gold and is selling it.
  • The name on the ID is the name on the sale record.
  • No bill, no hallmark slip and no valuation certificate is required.

If the owner cannot come in person, or cannot find the ID, read what happens if you do not have your ID with you before you travel. The reasons behind the ID rule are in why a shop asks for photo ID.

The stamp is worn off. What settles the purity?

A worn or missing stamp does not mean the gold is poor. Old jewellery was often made before hallmarking was common, and years of wear rub the marks away. A stamp is also only a claim. It does not tell you what the piece is today.

The karatmeter reads the metal itself. We test your gold on a karatmeter while you watch, and you see the reading on the screen. That reading, the weight on the scale and the day's rate are the three inputs. The figure for your piece is worked out at the counter once it is tested, not before.

Sometimes a piece tests lower than its stamp says. That is covered in what happens if the purity is lower than the stamp. You can also read how a karatmeter reading is taken, step by step.

Can I sell jewellery I inherited?

Yes, if you are the person it was given to. Inherited pieces are common in this part of Noida, and they usually have no papers. The same photo ID rule applies.

Two things help the day go smoothly:

  • Decide in the family first. If several people have a claim on the set, settle that before anyone carries it anywhere.
  • Bring the whole piece, even if it is broken. A snapped chain or a single earring is still gold.

There is more in selling inherited jewellery. Nothing has to happen today. Take your time over the family decision.

What if the gold is pledged or on loan?

Then it cannot be sold yet. A piece held by a lender or a pawnbroker has to be released first. You pay what you owe, get the gold back in your hands, and only then can it be sold.

Not sure which way to go? Compare the two options in sell the gold or take a gold loan. If you are releasing a pledged piece in order to sell it, ask the lender for the exact amount to close the loan. Then you know what the sale has to cover before you carry anything to a gold buyer.

Should I go to Atta Market or to a cash buyer?

Atta Market has the densest run of jewellers in Noida, and it is the natural first stop. Most of them take old gold as exchange against new jewellery, or they deduct making charges. That suits you if you want to buy new jewellery anyway. It suits you less if you want the money. The comparison is in cash for gold, or exchange it at a jeweller.

If you want cash for old gold, a cash buyer is the alternative. You can also get a second quote before you decide. There is a guide in should you get a second quote.

Pickup or the counter: which is right from Sector 18?

Pickup to Sector 18 is the same day. It is the right call when the owner cannot travel, when the set is heavy or valuable, or when you would rather not carry jewellery through traffic. Safe carrying is covered in carrying gold safely to the counter.

The counter is about 16 km by road from Sector 18. The trip takes 35 to 55 minutes depending on the Sector 71 crossing. The route runs via Sector 71, Kisan Chowk and Gaur Chowk to Sector 16B. That is a map estimate, not a promise.

If you are comparing the trips, the full comparison is in Noida Sector 18 or Noida Extension: which is the sensible trip. The page for your area is the Sector 18, Noida page. The wider Noida page and the Noida Extension page cover the rest.

If you are still unsure, call or WhatsApp 9217742656 and ask whether your pieces can be sold without a bill. Send a clear photo if you like. Nobody will pressure you to sell.

Questions people ask

Can I sell gold without a bill or hallmark in Noida? Yes. A buyer needs one original photo ID of the owner. The karatmeter test reads the purity from the metal, so a missing bill or worn stamp does not stop the sale.

Who is the best gold buyer for pieces with no papers? The one who tests in front of you, shows the reading and weight, and explains the rate before you agree to anything. Papers are not the thing to judge a buyer on.

Can I sell gold that my bank or a pawnbroker is holding? Not until it is released. Clear the loan first, take the gold back in your hands, and then it can be tested and sold like any other piece.
