A gold sell from Indirapuram, Vaishali, Vasundhara or Kaushambi can finish in one visit, but only if the weight, the test and the payment are all settled in that visit. The slow part is almost never the test. It is a missing ID, a piece that was not in the bag, or a payment method nobody agreed on beforehand.

We are Cash for Gold - Sona Do Paise Lo, at the Noida Extension / Greater Noida West counter, and our pickups cover Delhi NCR. This post walks through each step as it works for someone on the Indirapuram side, so you know where the minutes go and where a second trip comes from.

How fast is each step when I gold sell from Indirapuram?

Here is the sequence, from the first message to the money.

  1. The WhatsApp range. You send a message with the approximate weight and what the pieces are. A range comes back as a reply, not a visit. Photos of the stamps help. The range is an estimate, not a payout, because nothing has been tested yet.
  2. The pickup slot or the trip. Home pickup covers the whole belt and is usually the same half-day. If you would rather come to the counter, the trip is across the Hindon, via NH-24 / Delhi-Meerut Expressway towards Crossings Republik and then into Greater Noida West. That is about 20 to 30 minutes outside peak hours, map estimate.
  3. The test. We test your gold on a karatmeter while you watch, and weigh it on the scale in front of you. The reading is shown to you. The steps are in how a karatmeter reading is taken.
  4. The figure. Once the purity and weight are on the screen, the figure for your pieces is worked out from those two numbers and the rate. You can say no at this point and keep your gold.
  5. The payment. Cash up to the legal limit, transfer above it. More on this below.

Each step is short on its own. The delays come from the gaps between them. For the wider picture, see how long selling gold actually takes.

What decides whether I need a second trip?

Four things cause nearly every second trip we see.

  • No photo ID. We need it to complete the sale. Bring the original, not a photo on your phone. If it is missing, read what happens if you do not have your ID with you.
  • A piece left behind. A bangle in a locker, a chain with a family member. Write down everything you plan to sell before you leave, and tell us in the WhatsApp message.
  • A different weight than expected. Chains with lockets, or pieces with stones or lac, weigh more than the gold in them. The scale reads what is there, and the gold weight is what remains. See why the weight is less than you expected.
  • A payment mix-up. If you want everything in cash and the total is above the legal limit, the balance has to move by transfer. Decide that before you set out.

None of these is hard to fix in advance. A short WhatsApp list of what you are bringing removes most of them. The longer list is in what to bring when you sell gold.

Should I ask for a pickup or come to the counter from Indirapuram?

It depends on what you are carrying and how many people are involved.

Pickup is the better call when:

  • You are in Ahinsa Khand, Niti Khand, Nyay Khand, Gyan Khand or Vaibhav Khand and do not want to carry jewellery through traffic.
  • Several family members must be present for the sale, and it is easier to gather them at home.
  • The pieces are a full set, such as a necklace, bangles and earrings from a wedding, and you would rather not move them.
  • You live near Shipra Suncity, Jaipuria Mall or the CISF Road side and the Hindon crossing would take most of your afternoon.

The counter is the better call when:

  • You are already heading towards Crossings Republik or Greater Noida West for another reason.
  • You want to sit down, watch the scale and ask questions face to face.
  • You have one or two pieces and the trip is simple.

Vaishali (Sectors 1 to 9), Vasundhara (Sectors 1 to 19) and Kaushambi on the Pacific Mall side are covered by the same pickup belt. Both options use the same test and the same rate, so choose on convenience. The Indirapuram page, here, has the area details, and is it safe to sell gold to a buyer who comes to your home covers what to check before you open the door.

What do people here usually bring to a gold sell?

Sellers on this side of the Hindon most often bring wedding sets that no longer fit current designs, plain bangles, single chains, and earrings that lost their pair. Many pieces were bought years ago, and the bill is often gone. That is fine. A missing bill does not stop a sale, and selling gold when you do not have the original bill explains how it works.

Single pieces are common too. If you have only a chain or a ring, read is one chain or ring worth the trip before deciding between a pickup and the counter. We buy gold only. If a piece has stones, they are not counted and not bought.

Why would I sell here and not exchange at a showroom?

The area has a Muthoot and several jeweller showrooms that take old gold as exchange. An exchange usually comes as credit towards a new purchase. This shop buys for cash. If you want money in hand, or in your account, and not a voucher against new jewellery, cash is the simpler route. The comparison is laid out in cash for gold, or exchange it at a jeweller.

If you are weighing a gold loan instead, that is a different decision. Sell the gold or take a gold loan sets out how to think about it. Take your time. Nothing has to happen today, and a second quote is a reasonable thing to ask for.

How does payment work: cash and transfer?

Cash is paid up to the legal limit. Anything above that goes by bank transfer. This is the rule for any lawful buyer, and it protects you as well. If the total is above the limit, have the account details ready in your phone before you arrive or before the pickup. A transfer to the account of the person whose ID is used is the cleanest, and it avoids delays. The details are in how you get paid, and how fast.

What should I do before I message?

  1. Lay out every piece and write the list.
  2. Find your photo ID and, if you have one, any bill.
  3. Note any stamps such as 916 or 22 karat. If there are none, that is fine.
  4. Decide cash or transfer, and whether pickup or the counter suits you.
  5. Send the list on WhatsApp. If you have a question about the list, call or WhatsApp 9217742656 and we will tell you what to bring.

Many sellers in this belt think in Hindi first. If you prefer to write "gold bechna hai" or "purana sona", message in that language. Our Hinglish page is built for it. If you want the wider cash-for-gold picture for the circle, the cash for gold page has it. For the Noida Extension counter itself, see the locality page.

A good gold sell is dull. The list is ready, the ID is in the bag, the reading is on the screen, and the payment method was agreed in advance. That is what same-day means here, and it is also how you avoid the second trip. For the wider Ghaziabad side, the Ghaziabad page lists what applies beyond Indirapuram.
