Selling gold in Greater Noida West? Ask us about your piece before you decide.
Call 9217742656WhatsAppYes. A gold buyer can take your old jewellery in Noida Sector 75, and across Sectors 70 to 79, with no bill and a worn or missing stamp. You need one original photo ID of the owner, and the karatmeter reading settles the purity that paper cannot. We are Cash for Gold - Sona Do Paise Lo, in Noida Extension (Greater Noida West), and our pickups cover Delhi NCR.
Can a gold buyer in Sector 75 take jewellery with no bill?
Yes. Think about what is in most homes in Sectors 70 to 79. A chain bought years ago. Bangles from a wedding. A ring from a relative. The bill went missing long ago, or it was never written. The stamp has worn smooth.
A buyer does not price your gold from the bill. The bill says what someone paid once, at some other shop, at some other rate. The price now depends on three things: the weight of the piece, its purity today, and the rate on the day. The scale gives the weight. The karatmeter gives the purity. A missing bill changes neither.
We have a longer note on this: Selling gold when you do not have the original bill. If you prefer Hindi, there is gold bechna hai, bill nahi hai: kya karein and the gold bechna hai page.
What does a buyer actually need from me?
One thing: an original photo ID of the owner. Not a photocopy and not a photo on your phone. Aadhaar, passport, driving licence or voter ID are the usual choices.
That is all the paper. You do not need to bring:
- the purchase bill
- a hallmark certificate
- the box the jewellery came in
- proof of where the gold came from
The ID is there so the sale has a named seller. It protects you as well as the shop. If you want to know why, read Why a gold buyer asks for your photo ID. If the ID is at home, read What happens if you do not have your ID with you before you travel.
What does the karatmeter settle that a hallmark would have?
The stamp on a piece is a claim. The karatmeter is a measurement. We test your gold on a karatmeter while you watch, and you see the reading yourself. For a piece with no stamp, or one so worn that you cannot read it, the reading gives the purity.
Two things are worth knowing before you come:
- Old 22 karat jewellery is an alloy. It contains copper or silver alongside the gold. That is normal. It is not a sign that anything is wrong.
- A stamp and a reading can disagree. If the reading comes out lower than the stamp, you will see the number and we will explain it. Read What happens if your gold tests lower than the stamp says to know what to expect.
For the step-by-step version, see How a karatmeter reading is taken. For pieces with no marks at all, see Selling gold that has no hallmark or stamp.
Can I sell jewellery I inherited?
Usually yes, if the owner is the one selling and has their own ID. Many homes in the Sector 70 to 79 towers hold a mother's or grandmother's pieces that nobody wears. Those pieces rarely have a bill and often have no clear stamp.
A few things make it simpler:
- Decide within the family who is selling, and bring that person with their ID.
- If several relatives share the pieces, settle that before you come, not at the counter.
- Bring everything you plan to sell in one go. It is easier to weigh and test it together.
Nothing has to happen today. If the family needs time to agree, take it. Our note Selling inherited jewellery covers the rest.
What if my gold is pledged or on a loan?
Then it has to be released first. A piece held by a bank or a lender is not in your hands, so it cannot be sold from your home. Ask the lender for the amount needed to close the loan, collect the gold, and then sell.
Do the sum before you decide. If you sell only to repay a loan, find out what the loan costs to close and whether the gold, once tested, covers it. We can tell you the gold's value only after it is tested on the karatmeter, so bring the pieces to be assessed once they are released. If you are unsure between selling and borrowing, read Sell the gold or take a gold loan: how to decide.
Should I go to the counter or ask for a pickup from Sector 75?
Sectors 70 to 79 are society towers rather than markets, with few gold shops of their own. Many sellers here are first-time and salaried, selling a chain or bangles for a specific need. Both routes work.
- Pickup: usually the same morning or afternoon in this belt. It suits one or two pieces, or anyone who would rather not carry gold on the road.
- The counter: about 9 km by road, 20 to 30 minutes outside peak (map estimate). The route goes from Sector 71 crossing through Kisan Chowk and Gaur Chowk to Sector 16B. It suits you if you want to see the scale and the karatmeter in the shop and take your time.
If you go to the counter, read Carrying gold safely when you go to sell it. For the pickup route, see Is it safe to sell gold to a buyer who comes to your home?. Our Sector 75, Noida page explains how both work for this area, and the Noida page covers the other sectors. You can also look at the Noida Extension page for the counter itself.
How do I check a gold buyer before I hand anything over?
Before any pieces leave your hand, ask for these:
- The weight, shown on the scale in front of you.
- The karatmeter reading, shown to you.
- The rate used on the day, and how the figure for your piece is worked out.
A buyer who cannot or will not show you these three is not one to sell to. Our note Five questions to ask any buyer before you hand over your gold goes further. You are also free to get a second quote. Read Should you get a second quote before you sell your gold?.
If you want to ask something first, call or WhatsApp 9217742656 with a photo of the piece and the sector you are in. We can tell you whether a pickup or the counter makes more sense, and what to bring. We cannot give a figure from a photo. That comes only after the weight and the reading.
Questions people ask
Can I sell gold without a bill in Noida? Yes. The bill is not what sets the price. The weight, the karatmeter reading and the rate on the day do. You need one original photo ID of the owner.
Can I sell a gold chain with no hallmark? Yes. A missing or worn stamp does not stop a sale. The purity is read on the karatmeter while you watch, and that reading is used instead of the stamp.
Which gold buyer will come to Sector 75 for a pickup? We do. Pickups in Sectors 70 to 79 are usually the same morning or afternoon. Call or WhatsApp 9217742656 to ask what to keep ready, including your original photo ID.
